4 years agoKansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez has been sidelined since Aug. 18 due to left eye central serous chorioretinopathy, which has hampered his vision. But Perez saw a specialist Thursday, who indicated that his vision is improving, although his return isn’t on the horizon. Cam Gallagher and Meibrys Viloria will continue to hold down catching duties without Perez in the mix, although he will retain considerable fantasy appeal upon his return as he is in the midst of the best offensive season (.837 OPS, .511 xwOBAcon) of his career. Check back for an update on when Perez could get back into the lineup.--Jesse Borek
