4 years agoKansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez has been placed on the 10-day injured list due to left eye central serous chorioretinopathy. The ailment has been affecting Perez on and off over the past week, but that hasn’t stemmed his production as his .359 xBA ranks within the top two percentile of all batters in the Majors. Cam Gallagher and Meibrys Viloria figure to hold down catching duties while Perez is unavailable, with his IL stint clearing him to return next Friday.--Jesse Borek
