4 years agoSan Francisco Giants right-handed pitcher Sam Coonrod is dealing with a lat strain and has been placed on the 10-day injured list, with left-handed pitcher Sam Selman taking his spot on the active roster. Coonrod hasn’t done much of note from a fantasy perspective this season, yielding three runs across 3 ⅔ innings, walking more batters (three) than he has struck out (two). After vulturing five wins in 33 appearances in 2019, there was some thought that Coonrod could be an intriguing NL-only sleeper option amid a Giants pitching staff in flux. With the injury, he can be allowed to sit on the waiver wire.--Jesse Borek
