3 years agoCarolina Panthers quarterback Sam Darnold has been benched in the second half of the team's Week 7 contest against the Giants. He was 16-for-25 for 111 yards and an interception. At one point this year, Darnold led the NFL in rushing touchdowns, but his early success has vanished, as he's thrown seven picks in the last four games. P.J. Walker has entered the game to replace Darnold. The XFL star earned the No. 2 role over Will Grier in the preseason, and he could wind up being the starting quarterback going forward.
