7 years agoNew York Jets rookie quarterback Sam Darnold "has a very fair shot" of winning the starting quarterback job going into Week 1, according to sources. Darnold must continue to improve, though, and his preseason performance will be critical. The Jets have liked what they've seen so far, but Darnold is still just 21 years old and is probably another year away from contributing to redraft rosters in fantasy. New York's pass catchers have improved this year, but Darnold will likely have his fair share of ups and downs if he's making starts in 2018.
