Sam Darnold Questionable For Sunday

2 years agoCarolina Panthers quarterback Sam Darnold (concussion, shoulder) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Darnold could clear the concussion protocols by Saturday, though head coach Matt Rhule noted that the shoulder injury is as much of an issue as the concussion. The signal-caller was a limited participant at Friday's practice, with Rhule leaving the door open for Darnold to be active Sunday but as a backup. Second stringer P.J. Walker took some reps with the first team this week and would be available to start against New England if needed. The Patriots have allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, so either of Darnold or Walker will face a tough test.--Tim Capurso
