4 years agoNew York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold (shoulder) and defensive end Quinnen Williams (hamstring) have both officially been ruled out for Monday's game against New England. Darnold's injury woes mean that Joe Flacco will once again get the start under center, but with the Jets' offense not having been run particularly smooth with the veteran at the helm, it remains to be seen how long his leash is. The absence of Williams, who has made 31 tackles -- seven of which came for a loss -- this season, makes the Jets Defense an even more avoidable commodity than they previously were. Both players will look to benefit from New York having its bye week in Week 10, with their respective next opportunities to return coming Week 11 against the Chargers.--Jesse Borek
