Sam Darnold Sharp In Friday's Preseason Loss
6 years agoNew York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold completed eight of his 16 pass attempts for 86 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Friday's preseason loss against the New York Giants. The rookie led the team on two touchdown drives as he inches closer to nailing down the starting job heading into the regular season. Head coach Todd Bowles said after the game that he has a "good idea" who the starting will be, but declined to name one just yet. Teddy Bridgewater was also sharp off the bench in the second half, while veteran Josh McCown did not play. Darnold is only worth using as a low-end QB2 in redraft fantasy leagues using two starting signal callers, but he is a great add in dynasty formats.
