3 years agoCarolina Panthers head coach Matt Rhule announced that quarterback Sam Darnold would start on Sunday over Cam Newton. Darnold started the year on a hot streak, but he really faceplanted before injuring his scapula and going on Injured Reserve. However, Carolina's offense has looked no better with Newton and P.J. Walker. You certainly don't want to play Darnold in fantasy, but given his tendency to sling the ball and Newton's desire to simply run it, this is somehow a slight upgrade for receiver D.J. Moore while also being an upgrade for the New Orleans Saints defense in Week 17.--Eric Samulski - RotoBaller
