2 years agoIndianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich reiterated on Wednesday that Sam Ehlinger will start at quarterback if Carson Wentz is not off the COVID-IR in time for Sunday's game. Reich admitted to talking to Philip Rivers, but the popular story about Rivers coming out of retirement to play seems to be more fiction than reality. Given the NFL's new COVID protocols, it still appears likely that Wentz will be back in time to play on Sunday, but if you're in a super deep league and want to stash Ehlinger on your bench just in case, go for it.
