Sam Ficken Drills Career-Long FG Vs Giants
5 years agoNew York Jets kicker Sam Ficken went 2-for-3 on field-goal attempts and made all four of his extra points in a win over the Giants Sunday. Ficken came into the game with a career-long of 52-yards set just a few weeks ago, he was given a chance to extend that to 54-yards on his first try of the game, but missed wide left. Not to be discouraged, Ficken came out later in the game and drilled a 53-yarder to set a new career-long. He also made a big kick from 35-yards out to extend the Jets lead to seven late in the game. Ficken has been kicking the ball well in recent games and could be used as a bye-week replacement next week when the Jets should be able to move the ball again vs the Redskins.
