Sam Gaviglio Not A Good Streamer Option Friday

6 years agoNot all that long ago, Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Sam Gaviglio was looking like a solid streamer option in most matchups. His first few Major League starts went well, including throwing seven scoreless innings against the New York Yankees, but then things started to go south a bit. He did rebound very well in his last outing on June 30, throwing seven innings of three-run ball against the Detroit Tigers, but it was the first time he made it past the fifth inning since June 6. Gaviglio will get the Yankees once again on Friday, but don’t let the success of his first matchup against them fool you. It looks as though the book is mostly out on Gaviglio, and that’s something the Yankees are likely to take advantage of in this one. He's not an advisable streaming option on Friday.--John Smith
