2 years agoThe Colorado Rockies optioned outfielder Sam Hilliard to Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday. This season, he struggled at the plate, slashing .161/.238/.268 with two home runs, 12 RBI, and 13 runs scored across 41 games. The 28-year-old should see more consistent at-bats in the minor leagues while he tries to refine his swing. He hit a career-high 14 home runs but had a career-low 33.1% hard-hit rate in 2021.
