3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates relief pitcher Sam Howard (knee) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Sunday with right knee tendinitis with the move retroactive to June 19, the team announced on Twitter. Howard has been a decent play in SV/HLD formats this season, recording nine holds while going 2-2 with a 4.44 ERA and 31.5 percent strikeout rate over 26 1/3 innings of work. With Howard out, the Pirates have recalled Austin Davis from Triple-A, who is 0-1 with a 3.00 ERA and 45.2 percent strikeout rate over 12 innings of work at Indianapolis this season.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
