7 years agoWashington Redskins running back Samaje Perine (ankle) is likely to miss at least a week with an ankle sprain he suffered in the preseason game on Thursday, according to a source. With Perine and Byron Marshall (ankle) to miss some time after rookie Derrius Guice's (knee) season-ending injury last week, the Redskins will probably bring in some bodies to boost their depth. Perine was set to battle with Rob Kelley for the early-back duties, so this injury hurts his chances of having a significant role to open the season. Chris Thompson, the third-down back, is probably the most attractive from a fantasy perspective in PPR leagues from this backfield.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
