4 years agoKansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins put together another strong opening game on Thursday versus the Houston Texans. Watkins led the Chiefs with both targets at nine and receptions with seven. He also chipped in for a team high 82 yards and one touchdown. Watkins seems to always love the opening game and managers shouldn't be so quick to get too excited as he has been a rollercoaster ride throughout his career. With Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson in the picture, Watkins shouldn't be expected to put up strong numbers consistently. Due to being in the Chiefs high powered offense, Watkins will have strong games, but managers should temper their expectations with Patrick Mahomes have plenty of other options and mouths to feed. Watkins shouldn't be considered more than a WR3 or Flex option at the moment. Watkins will face off against the Chargers next Sunday.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
