2 years agoThe Green Bay Packers placed veteran wide receiver Sammy Watkins on the Non-Football Injury list on Tuesday with an undisclosed ailment. It's not a great sign for an aging receiver looking to establish chemistry with quarterback Aaron Rodgers in his first year with the Cheese Heads. The 29-year-old pass-catcher saw some run with the first-team offense during offseason workouts, but the oft-injured receiver hasn't played in a full season since his rookie year with the Buffalo Bills in 2014. In fact, that was his only fully healthy season in his eight-year career. Watkins caught 27 of 49 targets for 394 yards and one touchdown in 14 games for Baltimore in 2021. There's opportunity in Green Bay's receiver's room in 2022 with Davante Adams now gone, but Watkins is unlikely to be a consistent weekly producer for fantasy managers.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
