Sammy Watkins Has A Lot To Live Up To
4 years agoKansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins continued his streak of having a dominant Week 1 against the Houston Texans in his opening game, but he's unlikely to match that production in Week 2. Watkins put together a strong line of seven catches, 82 yards and a touchdown in Week 1, but he will face off against the Chargers, who dominated the receiver in 2019. In a pair of matchups against the Chargers, Watkins caught just three passes for 34 yards. Although the Chiefs have a new weapon that could break out at any time, Watkins doesn’t seem like the safest bet. With plenty of mouths to feed in KC, including Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, Watkins will also compete with wide receivers Demarcus Robinson and Mecole Hardman for targets. He is best suited as a boom/bust flex player in deeper leagues.
