6 years agoFacing the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5, the San Francisco 49ers defense mustered only one sack and forced zero turnovers against a terrible offense. The squads rematch in Week 8 following blowout losses by both teams. The Niners will again be an interesting streaming candidate but rank near the bottom of most defensive categories, placing last with just three takeaways and tied for sixth-worst in sacks (14). While it’s reasonable to expect some self-inflicted errors from the Cardinals offense, it’s equally possible the 49ers defense repeats its trend of falling flat.
