4 years agoThe San Francisco Giants added left-handed pitcher Anthony Banda to their staff following a trade with the Rays, who had designated Banda for assignment earlier Monday. Banda has been shelled in his limited big league work this season, allowing nine runs (eight earned) in seven innings. Whether San Francisco utilizes Banda in the starting rotation or out of relief remains to be seen, but he has limited left-handed batters to a career .674 OPS. He can remain on the wire for the time being, while having some DFS appeal should the Giants tab him for starts during September.--Jesse Borek
