4 years agoRight-handed pitcher James Sherfy is joining the San Francisco Giants on a minor league deal that includes an invite to spring training. Sherfy has not appeared in the big leagues since 2019, but he has produced a 2.98 ERA over 43 career appearances with the D-backs. Sherfy has familiarity with the Giants from his time spent in the National League West, but he'll also have an opportunity to make the big league roster on the heels of an arm injury. Through his brief major league stints, he has shown a propensity for avoiding hard contact, although he'll have an uphill battle for a fantasy relevant role in San Francisco this year.--Jesse Borek
