4 years agoThe Miami Marlins’ roster has been depleted by COVID-19 in the early stages of 2020, but all 18 players who came down with the illness have been cleared to return for baseball activities at the club’s alternate training site. Right-handed pitcher Sandy Alcantara headlines a group of players integral to Miami’s success, including pitchers Caleb Smith and Jose Urena, catcher Jorge Alfaro, shortstop Miguel Rojas, first baseman Garrett Cooper, and outfielder Harold Ramirez. There is no timetable yet established for when any of the aforementioned players may return to Miami’s active roster, but they are building up toward that from this point forward. Check back for updates on when the Marlins will be getting some key cogs back in the mix.--Jesse Borek
