Sandy Alcantara Impresses In Loss
3 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara was brilliant Tuesday night against the Atlanta Braves, going eight strong innings. He struck out seven, walked one, and allowed one run on just five hits. It wasn't enough to get the win, however, as the Marlins fell to the Braves 2-0. It was his second good start in a row after he let in no runs in seven innings against the San Diego Padres. Alcantara now has a 3.39 ERA, 135 strikeouts, 44 walks, and 15 HRs surrendered in 151.1 IP. He is a good fantasy option even given his low strikeout numbers, with him contributing in ERA and his ability to work deep into games.
