3 years agoMiami Marlins pitcher Sandy Alcantara (6-2) allowed three hits and two walks while striking out eight across seven innings in Thursday's 3-0 win over the San Francisco Giants. He threw 111 pitches, firing 73 for strikes. The 26-year-old escaped a first-inning jam but cruised through the rest of his start by tossing six scoreless innings to earn his sixth win of the year. This season, he has been impressive, posting a 1.81 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and 71 strikeouts over 74 innings. Alcantara is a must-start against the Washington Nationals in his next scheduled outing next Wednesday.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
