3 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara struggled against the Los Angeles Dodgers again on Thursday. This was a much better start than his previous one against the Dodgers, which was the worst start of his career. On Thursday, he lasted only four innings, allowing five runs (three earned) on seven hits and a walk while striking out five. The loss dropped his record to 5-8 and lifted his ERA to 3.09. He's allowed 13 runs to the Dodgers in two starts and 34 runs to everyone else in 17 other starts. With no more games against the Dodgers left on the schedule for the Marlins, Alcantara is a good bet to have a strong second half.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
