4 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara was not at his best in Friday's start against the San Francisco Giants. Alcantara threw five innings, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks while striking out four. The loss dropped his record to 0-2 and moved his ERA to 3.34. Alcantara was uncharacteristically inefficient in this one, needing 93 pitches to get through his five innings of work. He was still able to work around not having his best stuff nor his best command, which is what aces do. He'll hope for better results his next time out against the Milwaukee Brewers.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
