3 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara pitched very well on Saturday, picking up a win in a quality start. Alcantara went six innings, allowing one run (zero earned) on five hits and four walks while striking out four. The Marlins ace was a little more wild than usual, throwing 62 of his 99 pitches for strikes. The win brought his record to 5-7 and lowered his ERA to 2.96. Alcantara missed some of his spots in this one, but it was also a very poorly called game by the home plate umpire, costing both starters plenty of strikes.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
