6 years agoBoston Red Sox catcher Sandy Leon hit a three-run homer on Saturday, marking his only hit in a win over Seattle. The 369-foot shot capped off an eight-run third inning for the Sox. Leon is known for his defensive prowess and he only has two extra-base hits since being called up from Triple-A in mid-April, so don't expect a boost in power. Fellow backstop Christian Vazquez has already tied a career-high with five home runs and has a firm hold on the main catching duties in Boston. Leon will continue to get a pair of starts a week, but the lack of upside at the plate makes his fantasy value almost non-existent.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
