Saquon Barkley Expected To Play Monday Night
3 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (knee) is questionable for Monday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but is expected to play, per Jordan Raanan of ESPN. Barring a setback during pregame warmups, the star running back will return to action for the first time since sustaining a low-ankle sprain in the Week 5 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. This week, the former No. 2 overall pick was a limited participant in practice and appeared fully recovered from his ankle issue. Barkley has rushed for 195 yards and two touchdowns while catching 14 passes for 130 yards and a score over five games in 2021. Backup Devontae Booker (hip) is also expected to play. Fantasy managers should check back on Monday night to ensure Barkley is active before inserting him into their starting lineups.
