3 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) continues to manage his ankle injury and was limited in practice to begin the week on Wednesday, but he shouldn't be in any danger of missing the Week 16 game against the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles. The 24-year-old remains New York's lead back, but he has seen barely over half the offensive snaps in recent weeks as the Giants look to keep him fresh in a lost season. He's still seen double-digit carries in each of his last four games, although he's averaging under 4.0 yards per carry while seeing plenty of stacked boxes given the team's issues at quarterback. The Eagles run defense has stiffened up in the second half, too, so Barkley won't have it easy this Sunday. With Daniel Jones (neck) out the rest of the way, Barkley's floor as an RB2 is lower than ever in an atrocious offense.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
