Saquon Barkley Says Knee Is "Responding Well"
3 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley told reporters that he is still working to "trust the knee" after the first two games of the season. "I was able to go out there and play a full game. My body and my knee responded well," Barkley said. The 24-year-old played 84% of snaps in Week 2, so it is expected he will once again play a big role in the offense when the Giants take on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3. With 10 days to rest up, an increase in rushing attempts is likely on the horizon after he was eased back into things against tough matchups the first two weeks of the season. Barkley can be considered a lower-end RB1 and should be inserted into starting lineups.
