Saquon Barkley Take Backseat To Passing Game On Sunday
5 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley's matchup on Sunday is tougher than it looks at first glance. On the season, the Lions allow the fifth-most fantasy points to running backs; however, a lot of that has to do with an earlier injury to defensive tackle Damon Harrison. Over the last three games, the Lions held the Chiefs running backs to 21 points and the Packers running backs to 23 points, before breaking against Dalvin Cook last week. With the Lions trading their defensive captain, safety Quandre Diggs, and star cornerback Darius Slay expected to miss this game, the Giants may go to a pass-heavy approach, and they haven't been including Barkley in the passing game as much as they did last year. Barkley is still an elite play in season-long leagues, but this might not be the blow-up spot that everybody expects.
