Scooter Gennett Hits Grand Slam, Drives In Six
6 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett had a huge day at the plate against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday. Gennett went 2-for-3 with a grand slam and a double, finishing with six RBI on the night. The 2018 campaign has been an impressive follow-up for Gennett, who broke out for career highs across the board in 2017. The 28-year-old second baseman is now slashing .324/.358/.528 with eight homers, 23 runs, and 33 RBI in 47 games. Cut by the Milwaukee Brewers at the end of spring training in 2017, it has been quite the run for Gennett in the Queen City, who is establishing himself as one of the top fantasy second basemen in the National League.
