Scooter Gennett Hitting .300 This Spring
7 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett is out to prove his career year in 2017 was no fluke. The 27-year-old is off to a hot start this spring, batting .304 with one homer, five runs and two RBI in 23 at-bats. Gennett was a late addition to the Reds during the spring in 2017 and went on to win the starting second base role with his hot hitting during the season, setting career highs in homers, runs and RBI in the process. He is unlikely to match those numbers in 2018, but he still could wind up as a draft-day value depending on which round he is selected in.
