6 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett (groin) was on the field playing catch with infielders on Tuesday. Gennett has been out since spring training with a right groin strain and hasn't gotten close to any strenuous activity yet but manager David Bell hints that baseball-related activities could be close. "Very encouraged by all reports and, more than anything, just talking to him. No new timetable, but that could be tweaked," said Bell. Gennett is likely still at least a month out, considering he will be put through a rehab assignment before returning to the big-league club.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
