Scooter Gennett Picks Up Three Hits Friday
6 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett went 3-for-5 in his team's 2-1 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Friday. The three-hit game raises Gennett's batting average to .309 on the season, to go along with 18 homers, 69 runs, 70 RBI, and three steals. Gennett has slowed down over the past 30 days, hitting just .245, but he remains a productive fantasy second baseman. His recent struggles have moved him out of must-start territory but he's still a viable fantasy option in most leagues. Gennett might struggle to keep it going on Saturday against Giants ace Madison Bumgarner.
