Scott Schebler Hits First Homer
6 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Scott Schebler went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in his team's 7-5 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday. Schebler's long ball came off of Pittsburgh ace Chris Archer in the third inning. Schebler, like much of the Reds lineup, is off to a slow start this season. He is hitting just .138 with a .495 OPS, one homer, two runs and two RBI. Schebler has 47 homers over the past two seasons and is a better hitter than he has been showing early in 2019. He isn't a must-own in mixed leagues, but he is a useful extra outfielder in NL-only formats. He is off on Monday before the Reds open a home series with the Miami Marlins on Tuesday. Schebler will take his swings against Miami right-hander Jose Urena, who has struggled over his first two starts of the season.
