Seahawks Could Re-Sign Carlos Dunlap
3 years agoSeattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider confirmed that the team could re-sign defensive end Carlos Dunlap after cutting him. "We're keeping the door open to bring him back because he's a good pass-rusher," Schneider said. However, with the team moving to a 3-4 defense, the Seahawks defense may not be as good of a fit for Dunlap. The 33-year-old was also cut last offseason as a salary cap move and re-signed. In 17 games (two starts) in 2021, the two-time All-Star finished with 35 tackles (24 solo), eight tackles for loss, 14 QB hits, 8.5 sacks and seven passes defensed. Seattle can still use all the pass-rush help they can get, so it would make sense for them to reunite with Dunlap.
