Seahawks Talks Haven't Progressed With Colin Kaepernick
3 years agoSeattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said conversations "have not progressed" with free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who told reporters last week that he was still hoping the door was open for a shot with the Seahawks. Carroll's comments are an indication that the team is unlikely to sign Kap, who hasn't played in the NFL since 2016 with the San Francisco 49ers. After trading Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos, Drew Lock is currently the only starting option for Seattle in 2022, although Seattle is hoping to re-sign veteran Geno Smith to compete for the starting job. Kaepernick recently worked out with Seahawks wideout Tyler Lockett and continues to showcase his abilities around the country in hopes that an NFL team will give him another shot.
