6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Sean Manaea (shoulder) is expected to miss all of the 2019 season, according to manager Bob Melvin. This is big news and a surprise after it was initially reported that Manaea would only be having arthroscopic surgery. The left-hander had his best season in 2018 before the injury, going 12-9 with a 3.59 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 108 strikeouts in 160 2/3 frames over 27 innings.
