4 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Sean Manaea got off to a rough start to 2020 but has bounced back with four straight wins to emerge as a viable fantasy option down the stretch. Manaea sports an impressive 1.98 ERA in his last five starts, which includes a one-run, seven-inning gem Thursday night against Houston. The left-hander's 3.30 FIP is over a full run better than his 4.46 ERA, suggesting he has been unlucky this season. He won't rack up the strikeouts with a sub-20 percent strikeout rate, but he was impressive in a small sample size to end last season and has shown the ability to pitch at that level over the past month. He is a viable starter in fantasy but should be on the bench for a daunting matchup at Colorado in his next start.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
