2 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Sean Manaea improved his record to 5-4 on the season as his club defeated the Diamondbacks 4-3 on Saturday. The southpaw allowed three runs over six innings, giving up seven hits while striking out three and walking two. Manaea threw 60 of his 94 pitches for strikes, but gave up five extra-base hits including a two-run homer off the bat of Carson Kelly in the fifth inning. He concludes the first half of the season with a 4.11 ERA and 1.23 WHIP with 100 K through 100 2/3 IP.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
