6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Sean Manaea will take the mound against the Rangers on Tuesday hoping to end was has been a rough stretch of starts. After a blistering start to the season, Manaea posted a hefty 7.18 ERA through six starts in May. Negative regression was expected, as Manaea had an unsustainable ERA (1.03 versus career 4.02), BABIP (.148 versus career .286) and strand rate (98.2 percent versus career 72 percent) through his first six starts, but fantasy owners cannot be pleased with the extent and length of his correction. If ever there was a time for the lefty to turn things around, it would be Tuesday, as the Rangers are currently one of the worst offensive teams in baseball. While fantasy owners may be nervous given his recent performance, Manaea is a decent start and hopefully can take advantage of a favorable matchup.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
