3 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Sean Manaea allowed three runs in 6 2/3 innings but took his sixth loss of the season Wednesday at the Astros. Manaea was plagued by the long ball in this one as he served up a three-run shot to Jose Altuve and a solo homer to Kyle Tucker, which would stand as the winning run for Houston. Manaea has never been much of a strikeout pitcher, his career strikeout rate is just a hair over 20 percent, but he picked up six K's in this one and now has at least six strikeouts in four straight starts. He's striking out 25 percent of batters this year which has helped him become a must-roster pitcher in fantasy who should be started whenever he has a good matchup.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
