2 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Sean Manaea hurled six strong innings on Thursday as his club fell to the Brewers 5-4. He struck out eight batters on the evening while allowing one run on five hits and two walks, throwing 67 of his 103 pitches for strikes. The left-hander departed the game with a 3-1 lead, but the Brew Crew stormed back with a four-run ninth to walk it off and give Manaea the no-decision to keep his record at 2-3. The former A's ace has pitched to expectations with his new club so far with a 3.77 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 68 strikeouts through 62 IP as he'll look to even up his record in a home matchup versus the Mets next week.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
