3 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Sean Manaea had another brilliant outing on Thursday as he struck out a career-high 13 batters across seven dominant innings. Manaea allowed just three hits and three walks with a solo home run accounting for the only damage against the Oakland lefty. The win improves his record to 7-6 on the season, but Manaea has been better than his record indicates as he's sporting a 3.16 ERA, a 1.18 WHIP and has 128 strikeouts across 116 2/3 innings. His ERA indicators back up his success as he's got a strong 3.50 xFIP and his 9.9 K/9 is easily a career-best.
