3 years agoOakland Athletics catcher Sean Murphy launched his 10th homer of the season Wednesday in a loss to the Rangers. Murphy got off to a brutal start to the season, but has been swinging a hot stick in June as he's got five homers and a .603 slugging percentage this month after hitting just five homers in April and May combined. The sophomore catcher swings and misses more than recommended, but at catcher, beggars can't be choosers. Catcher is both the weakest position in fantasy as well as the position with the biggest learning curve for young players breaking into the Majors. The sophomore backstop is worth a speculative add in all fantasy leagues as there's plenty of untapped potential in the 26-year-old's bat.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
