3 years agoOakland Athletics catcher Sean Murphy went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in a win over the Rockies on Friday. Murphy has been a disappointment for fantasy managers, but he remains a high-upside catching option for the remainder of the season. Murphy is sporting a 46 percent hard-hit rate and is barreling up the ball 12.6 percent of the time. He's got a strong walk rate which has produced a .311 on-base percentage despite batting just .222. Catcher is the weakest position in fantasy so Murphy will be a valuable catcher in fantasy baseball as some of the hits start to fall for him.
