2 years agoOakland Athletics catcher Sean Murphy isn't in the starting lineup for Wednesday's matchup with the Toronto Blue Jays and right-hander Jose Berrios. Murphy has enjoyed a solid season at the plate, hitting .225 with a .294 on-base percentage, nine home runs, and a stolen base in 300 plate appearances. Oakland will instead start Stephen Vogt behind the plate. Vogt will bat fifth against Berrios and the Blue Jays. For the season, the veteran is hitting .169 with a .242 on-base percentage and four home runs in 66 plate appearances.
