4 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Sean Newcomb has struggled through two starts this season, but has a chance to right the ship Wednesday versus the Blue Jays. Toronto hitters have hit a paltry .196 against southpaws this season, with no homers and a league-low .477 OPS. Their sample size is a bit smaller than most teams with the postponement of their weekend series, but it's encouraging for Newcomb nonetheless. The 27-year-old has yet to make it through five frames in his two starts, but the bats behind him are waking up, and he'll pitch at home where he held a 2.14 ERA a year ago. Newcomb could make a sneaky streamer for Wednesday's slate.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
